Heliotherapy is healing with measured sunlight. In the high Carpathians it is especially valuable: clean air and the right humidity make the sunlight mild, so the sun here "works" without putting excess strain on the body.
It is not about a tan
The goal of heliotherapy is not a bronze shade but the benefit of ultraviolet in the right dose: the production of vitamin D, stronger immunity, better mood and better sleep. The method has been known since the end of the 19th century, when sun baths became part of sanatorium medicine — and in the mountains, where the sun is "closer", the tradition runs deeper still.
How to take sun baths in the mountains
The best time is the morning before 11:00 and the late afternoon after 16:00, starting with 10–15 minutes. The ideal "treatment rooms" are the loungers by the aqua zone and the lakeshore: sun + water + mountain air give a triple effect. In summer, do not forget a hat and water.
Heliotherapy is part of the natural "quartet" of the Carpathians, together with aerotherapy, orotherapy and landscape therapy. All four are included in your stay simply because you are in the mountains.
