Finnish sauna

Finnish sauna

Dry heat of 80–100 °C and natural wood: a classic sauna for relaxing the muscles and sleeping soundly.

The Finnish sauna at Ozero Vita is the aesthetics of natural wood and dry heat that warms the body gently and deeply. Humidity here is low, 5–15 %, so even a high temperature (classically 70–110 °C) is far easier to take than in a wet steam room.

Why go to the sauna after a day in the mountains

  • it relaxes every muscle group after hikes and activities;
  • it starts active sweating — a natural cleansing of the skin;
  • it improves circulation and makes sleep deeper;
  • it eases nervous tension and the feeling of fatigue.

Rules for a comfortable session

A sauna is a place for quiet and an unhurried pace: go in for 8–12 minutes, rest between rounds, drink water or herbal tea. After a hot round — a cool shower or the pool: the contrast is the main mechanism behind the benefit. The ideal combination is a sauna after the indoor pool with sea salt or before a massage.

If you were looking for a hotel with a Finnish sauna in Transcarpathia — here it is a few steps from your room, and the salt room next door is included in the room rate. The price of the sauna is in the price list, and it is more fun with company.

Frequently asked questions

Everything about "Finnish sauna"

The questions guests ask most about the session, booking and what to bring with you.

What is the temperature in the Finnish sauna?

The air heats up to 70–110 °C at low humidity. This is a classic dry steam room: dry heat is easier to tolerate than moist steam at the same temperature.

How many rounds should I do in one session?

We recommend 2–3 rounds of 5–10 minutes with breaks in between. After each round — a cool plunge, and at the end 10–15 minutes of rest to recover.

Who should not visit the sauna?

It is best to skip the treatment if you have cardiovascular disease, during pregnancy and with any acute condition (fever, a flare-up of chronic illness). If in doubt, consult your doctor.

How do I book the sauna?

Booking is by phone — that way you can choose a convenient time in advance. The sauna goes well together with a Carpathian hot tub.
