New Year in the mountains beats the city version above all on pace. There is no need to catch a taxi at midnight, work out who is driving tonight and take everyone home at four in the morning. Guests come to Ozero Vita for a few days in the village of Nyzhnii Studenyi at about 800 metres, see the night in at the restaurant — and walk to their room after the banquet. And then there are several more days with nowhere to hurry.
New Year's Eve: the banquet, the host and the DJ
The main night takes place in the resort's restaurant: a festive table, games, music and a paper show, a host and a DJ. Separate entertainment is arranged for the youngest guests — so that the adults have their evening and the children have theirs.
The kitchen here is not festive merely for show: the standing menu has more than 80 items — Transcarpathian classics such as bohrach and banosh, Ukrainian staples and European dishes. Meat, fish, milk and cheese come from our own smallholding, and the difference is clear as early as breakfast. Where to put up a group
New Year is rarely seen in by two people, and this is where the resort has an advantage: 11 separate properties — 3 hotels and 8 cottages. A group can take a whole house and share it with nobody, while a large family can take a floor in a hotel.

The choice between a hotel and a cottage comes down to one question. A hotel with a spa suits those who want water and treatments under one roof. A cottage suits those for whom it matters more to close the door behind them and hear nobody from outside.
Corporate events and large groups
December also means office parties, and they are hard to fit into an ordinary restaurant room. The large conference hall is designed for 80–100 people and measures 108 m² (150 m² including the foyer), with a screen, presentation and video-conferencing equipment and Wi-Fi. For a smaller team there is an intimate hall for 35 people.

What to do on 1–3 January
The strongest argument of these days is water. The Boutique Hotel's indoor pool is open all year round: the water, enriched with sea salt, stays at about +28 °C, and there is a counter-current for swimming, a wall waterfall, a jacuzzi and panoramic windows onto the forest. Swimming while snow falls beyond the glass is exactly what people come here for in winter. The open-air pool 50 metres long is seasonal: its depth of 1 to 1.65 m and the 200 loungers beside it are waiting for the warm months.
The rest of the programme for the first days of the year:
- Tubing — all-season: a descent is bought on its own or in a package of five or ten; details are on the tubing page.
- Skiing nearby. Pylypets is about 10 km away, roughly a 10-minute drive, and the Pylypets ski runs are the closest to the resort. Within 15 km there are also Izky, Podobovets and Slavske. On the grounds themselves a snowmobile runs in winter.
- Warmth after the frost. The deluxe wood-fired tub is booked for one or two hours; it seats up to 6.
- When you would rather stay indoors. Billiards, air hockey, a PlayStation and arcade machines — prices are in the price list; there is also a fireplace lounge and table tennis.
Lunch on these days needs no planning: the pizzeria bakes pizza, so you can step out of the water straight to the table. And if there are children in the group, the mini farm with poultry, rabbits and cows is open, along with the playroom with game simulators.
How to book in advance
Holiday dates are taken long before December, so the main advice is simple: do not put it off. To confirm a booking a deposit is enough — the full rate for one night; the rest is paid at check-in. A booking can be cancelled free of charge, with the deposit refunded, no later than 30 days before arrival — the money is returned less 7%. If you cancel later, the amount paid can be used until the end of the current year.
A few practical details worth knowing before you leave home:
- Check-in is from 14:00, check-out by 12:00; early check-in or late check-out costs 50 % of a night's rate.
- Children under 3 stay free of charge. Children under 3 stay free. An extra bed for a child aged 4 and over, or for an adult, is charged separately — see the price list.
- No cats. No cats.
- The price already includes breakfast, the aqua zone, the salt room, the infrared sauna, parking, the gazebo with a barbecue and the gym (from 16 years).

Getting here
The nearest railway is Volovets station, 26.5 km away. From Khust it is 91 km, from Uzhhorod 130 km. A winter road in the mountains always comes down to your tyres and time in hand, so plan to arrive before dark.
