The 1,940-meter-high Marmarosh mountain massif, which lies on the border with Romania, also deserves the attention of tourists. It is especially beautiful here in spring and summer, when greenery, colorful flowers and berries cover the tops of the mountains.

Mountain peaks

Climbing the highest mountain peak in Ukraine, Hoverlu, is a real challenge and an unforgettable adventure during your vacation in the Carpathians. The hike, of course, requires some effort and time, but as a result, you will get a breathtaking view that opens from a height of 2061 meters, and a summit in the asset. If you do not have the time or opportunity to conquer Hoverla, there are a lot of lower, but no less picturesque mountain peaks. Brebeneskull rewards climbers with a beautiful crystal lake carved by glaciers. Mount Pip Ivan is perfect for history buffs as you can explore the abandoned observatory at its summit, called the White Elephant. There are also wonderful views from the peaks of Menchul, Turkul or Gemba.

The color of the Carpathians

If you have a choice to stay in a big city or a small town, choose the latter. Here you can feel the local flavor and immerse yourself in real authentic Ukraine.
